GMAC is the most terrible, unprofessional, unethical company ever! DO NOT USE THEM! This is a serious warning to all of you out there wanting to refi or get a loan. Find someone else; DO NOT USE GMAC! They are all liars and scammers; only wanting to get their commission and do what they can to ***; taking your $ and all your credit along with them".
My family has been "attempting" to refi with this terrible company since the end of October/. We were initally told by "Julian" that if we submit all the paperwork (which is absolutely outrageous in itself; we faxed over 200-300 pages of personal info; bank statements; tax documents; etc to them-several times to be exact) that all should be all good and that the loan should take anywhere from 30-60 days depending on the processors (60 days being the absolute worse case scenerio)?. It is now the 2nd week in January and the loan is still not closed! Way past the 60 days! And they made sure everything has gone wrong with this simple loan..
First of all, we got handed off from our initial guy to an absolute witch (capital B there); and I will name her: CARLA BROWN!! There is it in black and white! Carla Brown then attempted to make our lives complete he**! She did whatever she could to hold the loan and make problems for us". And when I attempted to call her to ask her one simple question, instead of picking up the phone and helping me (which you can never get anyone to pick up the phone anyway), days later she barrated my mother for having me call and bug her and that since she was mad, she would put our loan on her desk underneath others and sit on it for a while!! And that she did!! From there on out she was a complete witch, being as rude as possible to my family|. Even when I apologized for calling and bugging her (yes, i did this to try to "smooth" things over; *** I know), she still didn't give us anything but grief;. We were treated horribly and she was extremely rude each and every time she spoke to us, demanding we do things her way or the loan would be denied! CARLA BROWN should be FIRED! I don't know how she got to work in the public as it is! She made our lives he**; so I hope we can make hers the same!!
We just ended up cancelling our loan today, after almost three months of he**, after yesterday being told by Carla Brown's supervisor, "Nina", that we now owe thousands for closing costs instead of the initial $400 we were told;. And if we couldn't prove we have this money (meaning paper trail here; they do not except any cash by the way; so don't plan on paying cash for anything here), then our loan will be denied! Continue jumping through their hoops, which we have done for three months now (whether it be getting more bank statements signed by a bank manager, proving where every $ comes from; and sending all paperwork three times over), and still have to do more. Well, no any more!! We are out! No more being treated like garbage; time to get out lives back!
GMAC is nothing but a scam; they just want to take your $ and run causing you nothing but heartache. This process took way too long. They are very unethical and extremely rude! Stay away from GMAC! 12881c5
