Ok. I bought a new car and traded in the old one that was financed by GMAC. A few months later, I get a call from GMAC inquiring about payment on my old car. I told them I no longer own the vehicle. The woman says I am lying and if I dont send payment by the end of the week, it will be repoed. I called the dealership where I bought my new car and they said they sent payment to GMAC. A few weeks later I noticed GMAC reported my account to the credit bureau as a repo. I called and told them to take the repo off my credit or I would sue them. It turns out they did receive the payoff from the dealership and conveniently, it got lost. They finally fixed it but thank God I didn't apply for any credit during that time. I wont take another loan from this company.
