I work for an insurance restoration company and many of our customers have
mortgage companies that are included on our check for payment once we have completed the work.
GMAC is the worst
mortgage company I have ever had to deal with, it usually takes a maximum of two weeks for most
mortgage companies to fill out all their required paperwork and have the check endorsed and sent back to us. With GMAC it has taken almost 4 months to get all the necessary paperwork reviewed, an inspection scheduled and the check endorsed and sent back to me the contractor who is named on the check not the home owner who is not named on the check for work that has been complete for over 5 months now. There customer service is awful the people seem to be uneducated and talk to you as if you are a five year old. Almost every time I call in I have to end up holding for at least 15 to 20 minute before I can get a supervisor on the line and even then most questions are not answered. I will never sign a mortgage with them purely based on my experience having to deal with them at work. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company in my life. 12873b2
