I'm in the military and move often, so when I had to relocate I notified GMAC of the move and was told to notify again once there was an forwarding address.
This was done after the move was completed.
My November bill included a miscellaneous charge which happened to be the same amount as previous Virginia tax charges. After notifying customer service I was told that I would receive a return call within 48 hours. There was no return call.
I called again and after agreeing that the charge should not be in the amount on the bill I was again told that the amount was incorrect and I would receive a return call. Again I received no return call.
I wrote a letter and enclosed a copy of my registration with the date highlighted but still no response. I paid my February bill electronically (as usual) and was surprised when I found out that Ally had taken the entire amount including the incorrect tax charge from my account.
This seems to be a minor league move for a company with the client base of Ally, especially since the customer has attempted to rectify the situation on numerous occasions".
I find it disappointing that Ally decided to take the road of financial gain as opposed to maintaining the loyalty and satisfaction of their customer in the hopes that they would continue to remain a customer with their company/.
I don't understand not returning calls, or a notification of their position on the stated dispute before removing the funds from my account?. This seems to be somewhat of a sly move,. More so, I've been a loyal GMAC customer for 16 years and up to this point very pleased with the experience;.
It's not about the money, it's about loyalty and dealing honestly with your customer;. Being in the Army I live paycheck to paycheck like many other Americans, and am willing to pay my way, but can't really afford a lot more than that:.
If this is not resolved I will have to give ford or Chrysler (refuse to by anything other than an American brand)a try when my lease ends in 2013 while
also notifying other military members to be aware of the NEW Ally".
I'll keep you updated and will return to this site on the outcome of this unfortunate situation. 12871b1
